[Org4j-announce] Sept 5 - Global Call for Actions for the Amazon

* please share widely in solidarity with the Indigenous peoples of the
Amazon! ~*The National Articulation of the Indigenous Peoples of Brazil
(APIB) has called for international solidarity in response to the fires in
the Brazilian Amazon and the ever-increasing threats posed by Brazilian
president Jair Bolsonaro.   Amazon Watch and Extinction Rebellion are
leading a* call for a Global Day of Action for the Amazon on September 5,
2019*, also known as "Amazon Day." Please join us!

On September 5th we call on the global community to take action at
Brazilian embassies or consulates and at the offices of the corporations
profiting from Amazon destruction.

*Gather in community to organize non-violent direct action*s including,
protests, sit ins, marches and vigils. You can also organize a benefit
concert or film screening to raise much-needed funds to protect the Amazon.
