Today, a 'pop up' safe injection site is starting operation in Ottawa.

While there is the recently-announced permanent safe injection site coming
to Ottawa, to be located at Sandy Hill Community Health Centre possibly as
soon as this fall, as well as an opioid substitution supervised injection
site starting September at the Shepherds of Good Hope ...

... community members and service providers here have come together as
Overdose Prevention Ottawa to do something immediately about the overdose
crisis. A similar pop up site was recently set up in Toronto, and numerous
ones are running in Vancouver.

The location is not being announced before it is in operation.
