[Org4j-announce] Sat Dec19 - Protecting Chaudiere Falls sacred site

Organizing 4Justice org4justice at gmail.com
Thu Dec 17 15:20:45 PST 2015

Note: The late Algonquin leader Grandfather William Commanda did the
opening ceremony at the first Organizing For Justice conference back in
2008.

At that same conference, he and his assistant Romola Thumbadoo, coordinator
of his Circle of All Nations, presented his vision for the sacred Chaudiere
Falls (Asinabka) site - an Indigenous Centre, a Peace-Building Centre,
natural parkland, and a freed undammed falls.- in the philosophy of the
Circle Of All Nations network, a vision built up over decades in
consultation with all the Algonquin communities: www.Asinabka.com

This vision is threatened by the current planned $1.5bn high-rise condo
development from Windmill Development Group Ltd.

Please join us this Saturday to learn more about protecting this site:
