For those of you interested in getting involved with fighting the
unfair double punishment and deportation of Deepan Budlakoti,
Justice For Deepan will be hosting an orientation for new members.

Date: Thursday, October 3
Time: 5:00 to 8:30pm
Location: #1 -125 Lebreton Street

Deepan Budlakoti, 23, has lived his entire life in Canada. However, now
he's facing the prospect of being deported to India -- a country he's never
lived in. The Ottawa-born man is fighting to stay in the country as he
faces the prospect of deportation to India by the Canadian government.
Deepan has been working with his legal team to challenge the deportation
order on constitutional and other legal grounds. The government once
considered him a Canadian citizen and even issued him a passport. It now
claims that was all a mistake, and although Mr. Budlakoti was born in
Canada and his parents and younger brother are Canadian, he was never
really a citizen, the government says.

The Justice for Deepan support committee was formed in July 2013 to support
Deepan Budlakoti in his quest to have his citizenship restored. Please join
us!
