Dear OPIRG Working Groups and OPIRG Allies,

The newly elected Board of Directors and OPIRG staff have arranged a
meeting for OPIRG’s working groups, campus service groups, students, and
community members. The purpose of this meeting is for strategic planning,
visioning, and discussion of events and campaigns to focus on during the
2015-2016 school year, while also acting as a space to discuss the general
activity of OPIRG over the past year.

We are also seeking new Board Members as we currently have four out of
seven. Please email opirgyork at gmail.com if you are interested.

We ask that each working group delegate at least one of its members to
attend this meeting in order to assist the Board and Staff to provide
direction and ideas in regards to working group activity and organizational
aims of OPIRG York. As a part of OPIRG York and given the weight of these
discussions and the importance of our working groups, we highly recommend
that members of OPIRG’s working groups are involved in this process in
order to center your voices and opinions throughout this project.

In addition, we welcome all individuals, whether they are students, part of
the surrounding York community, or members of service groups at York to be
involved in this process as it provides an opportunity to not only create
social change within your community, but also to shape the future of OPIRG
as a political organization. We have also set our Community Membership dues
at a sliding scale starting at $3 if you are not a current York student.
