THIS IS THE LAST SESSION FOR THE SUMMER!

Join OPIRG York's Radical Bookworms in a reading series on Frantz Fanon!

We will be discussing the ways in which understanding Fanon is critical to
developing mass movements that are inclusive, committed to anti-oppression
practices and attempt to eliminate white supremacy.

We will ground the examination of Fanon’s ideas in activist practice and attempt
to rescue him from the realm of academia!

The readings chosen for this session are :

1. Fanon, Frantz. A Dying Colonialism "Algeria Unveiled" and "The Algerian
Family."

2. Fanon, Frantz. Toward the Afrikan Revolution - "Letter to the Youth of
Africa" and "Decolonization and Independence"

3. Optional reading: Fanon, Frantz. The Wretched of the Earth (Black Cat
Edition) "Conclusion"
