Greetings all!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the AGM! It was great and we had a 
lot of fun!
Welcome to our new 2011/2012 board!

We are having a joint OPIRG and CWTP York Funtastic End of Year Parrrrrrtay!

Join OPIRG York and CWTP York for our JOINT Fun and Yummy end of Year Party!

Come celebrate our year and help bring in the summer!
Take a break from studying/examing/paper writing!
Eat some YUMMY Caribbean food!
Play some de-stressing games and meet great new peoples!
We will provide the food, games, music and FUN!

OH - and cupcakes for EVERYONE! :D
Just bring yourself and friends! Free and Open to ALL!
The student centre is wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair accessible 
bathrooms on the same floor.

This will be a child friendly event - so children are more than welcome!

1) Haiti Before and Beyond - A Panel Discussion with Guest Speaker Ezili 
Dantò
Moderated by: Brother Kofi Sankofa, CHRY 105.5 FM

University (Keele Campus)

Ezili Dantò is a prominent cultural and political figure in Haiti. She 
is also the founder and president of the Haitian Lawyers Leadership 
Network (HLLN), a network of lawyers, scholars, journalists, concerned 
individuals, grassroots organizations and activists, dedicated to 
institutionalizing the rule of law and protecting the civil and cultural 
rights of Haitians at home and abroad.

The event will include conversations with Ezili and local guests about 
Haitian sovereignty, the recent elections, the return of Baby Doc and 
Aristide, and the implications for Haiti. You can listen to the event 
live on CHRY 105.5 FM, or join us in the Student Centre.

ASL-English Interpretation is confirmed for the following workshops held 
Saturday:
- Deaf Culture 101: Culture, Communication, and Access
-Sexual Assault in Activist Communities: Creating a Culture of 
Accountability

We are still working on confirming ASL-English interpretation for 
Expanding Bases of Safety: A Guideline for Countering Undercover 
Operatives and Breaking Social Distance in Your Network.

Both Toronto Anarchist Bookfair venues are accessible and contain barrier
free washrooms. Gender neutral washrooms are available at Steelworkers’ 
Hall. Nut-free vegan food and childcare are available at
Steelworkers hall. Large font programs and attendant care are available 
at both locations. The Toronto Anarchist Bookfair is a scent free space.

3) I Get Out (of all your boxes)
Friday April 15th
7pm to 11pm
83 Walnut Avenue (@Wellington Street West)


***VENUE CHANGE***

Please note that I GET OUT (of all your boxes) will now be located at 
Walnut Studios- 83 Walnut Ave @ Wellington (S. of King).

The night will feature visual art, dance, spoken word and film all by 
Black Women Storytellers.

Refreshments and items will be on sale by local black women.

The contribution for the night is$10 - $25 sliding scale.

All net proceeds will go towards Dr. Roz's Healing Place - a shelter 
founded and lead by a black woman that supports survivours who are women 
and children seek refuge.
