URGENT!!! MAPUCHE POLITICAL PRISONERS ON 20+ DAY HUNGER STRIKE ACROSS 
SOUTHERN “CHILE”!!

The Mapuche Political Prisoners across so-called southern Chile have 
undertaken a liquid hunger strike throughout the country which began on 
July 12th, 2010, in El Manzano Prison demanding the immediate release of 
ALL Mapuche Political Prisoners, the Abolition of Military Courts, and 
the Abolition of the Anti-Terrorist Law.

As of Wednesday, Ju...ly 28th, 31 Mapuche Political Prisoners have 
joined the call out in the prisons of Concepcion, Temuco, Angol, 
Valdivia, and Lebu, with the support of various Mapuche communities in 
struggle including the Communities of Rankilko, Newen Mapu, and Juana 
Millahual to name a few...

The murderous legacy of the Lagos and Bachelet Chilean governments has 
kept the Criminalization of the Mapuche struggle for autonomy, the 
implementation of the Antiterrorist Law, the double-jeopardy of Military 
courts and the use of police set-ups into the current Piñera 
administration, which further seeks to plunder and repression of our 
people. All of this during the year of Chile’s 200th Year of 
Independence, taking place on September 18th, 2010, which has 
represented the ongoing genocide of our people.
The situation is URGENT as the health of our Mapuche Brothers is rapidly 
deteriorating...

As the Women’s Coordinating Committee Chile-Canada [Toronto], we fully 
support the efforts of our Mapuche brothers and sisters in their just 
struggle for their liberation. Therefore WE CALL OUT ON ALL INDIGENOUS 
AND ANTI-COLONIAL Activists/Supporters to SHOW THEIR SOLIDARITY TO THE 
CAUSE OF INDIGENOUS SOVEREIGNTY and Join us in Protest!
