I finally met up with Ryszard Bojarski at the Dom Polski. We can't get 
Saturday March 19th; there's already a party booked.  They won't rent 
the hall Friday March 18th for an event such as ours which will go late, 
because they need to start setting up for the next day's party early in 
the morning.

The _only_ Saturday available in March is the 26th. Can anyone think of 
a reason why this wouldn't work for us? I need to know by Wednesday when 
I'll meet Ryszard again to sign the contract and hand over the deposit.

As far as costs, I'm happy to cover the $300 deposit myself. We need to 
get the balance of the $700 rental fee to them by March 16th, and we 
need to give them a $200 security deposit on the morning of the 26th 
when we get the keys, which should be refunded the next day.  The $700 
rental fee was a bit more than I expected; Ryszard told me the rates 
just went up on January 1st.  The rental fee includes the bar but not 
the kitchen.  We will also have to rent a sound system.
