 Hello good folx,

Please forward this call amongst good lists and to trusted contacts.

We are looking for people who are able to committ to any/all of the
following:

          1) joining the *medic steering committtee (*first meeting this
Sunday!!*)*
          2) being trained as a *medic* for the upcoming G20 days of protest
(June 24-27th ish)
          3) *contacts/scavengers *for supplies, donations, and organizing
(at your union/hospital/clinic/bandage factory, etc.,)

What you can expect if you sign up for anythign specifically:

*1)  Toronto Street Medic G20 Steering Committee*

         - more frequent meetings (once a week til the G20 - ish)- first one
will be this Sunday- email torontomedics at gmail.com for information on
location/time- subject title: MEDIC COMMITTEE
          - contributing to the vision/philosophy/basis of unity or whatever
you want to call it for how street medicine will be provided/given/taken on
the days of resistance...
          - taking on communications roles with EMS, folx travelling from
across Canada and the USofA and elsewhere
         - participating in training other medics (after a train the
trainer), helping to coordinate trainings and supplies and storage
         - logistics for medics on day of protests
         - liasing/communications with community groups, EMS, medics,
protestors, etc,.
         - helping to recruit, organize medics
         - a good time

*2) Medic on Days of Protest (June 24-27th ish Toronto)*

        You will receive training at a weekend workshop. Generally workshops
are 12-20 hours in length and cover topics such as first aid,
communications, basics of protests, logistics, assessment, treatment and
prevention of basic medical issues such as dehyrdation, hypoglycemia, etc.,
and also probably have a good time.

   We are looking for the following supplies: So if you find any just lying
around your institution.... or you can legitimately ask for them from you
organiziation or get them donated somehow that would be great... it could be
a good time.
