On July 25, 2006, Major Paeta Hess-Von Kruedener, a 44-year-old Canadian monitoring the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in South Lebanon as a United Nations observer, died along with three colleagues after six hours of **Israeli attacks on his UN patrol base**, culminating in the aerial bombardment of the bunker where the men had taken shelter.

His widow wants answers.
