Rolling homes are a longstanding tradition in the hippie community, but long before hippies, were people who traveled in rolling homes that were beautiful. Referred to in the past as “Gypsies,” I believe that many of these people, themselves, have asked to be called “Romanies”...I have felt a comradery with people who live in _vardos_, such as the Romani wagon culture, as a hippie traveling with my baby in my school bus across America in my past.
