It *seems* like middle class people panic when I threaten to leave poverty, and I seriously think they fear if I am no longer that poor person being exploited, that *someone* has to take my place, and middle class people fear if poor people no longer do the shit work for low pay, that *they* might be forced to do low status low income service industry labor instead! I am dead serious when I say I feel a middle class *angst* when I announce I am not tolerating poverty in my life anymore. They react as if I am tossing a hot potato at them, and they don’t want to get stuck with that hot potato of poverty.
