[news] Vancouver City Council Takes on Labeling of Genetically Modified Foods

At this moment, up to 70% of all processed foods in Canada contain genetically modified ingredients, and this number is rising annually. These numbers have fueled a growing public concern both nationally and abroad. As a result, 35 countries - containing over half the worlds population - already have laws requiring labeling.
