Waging war should not be done unless the broad support of the people is assured

On Monday 17th December, the Dutch Parliament begins its debate on the country's military involvement in the Afghan province of Uruzgan - a 'mission impossible'. Almost all anti-guerilla wars have been lost, from Atjeh to Vietnam.
