VICTORIA – The public should get a look at the proposed text of the province’s first-ever urban treaty within a month, B.C.’s new minister for aboriginal relations said Thursday.
Mike de Jong took over the portfolio in last month’s cabinet shuffle, just as federal, provincial and Tsawwassen First Nation negotiators were wrapping up years of treaty talks over land and cash settlement to the community of 270 people.
