A federal appeals court has rejected an appeal by a freelance journalist and activist who was jailed for a month for refusing to provide a grand jury with outtakes of footage he shot at a violent San Francisco protest in July 2005. Josh Wolf, who is now free on bail, will not immediately be sent back to federal prison after the unanimous ruling by a three-judge panel of the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, one of his attorneys said Monday.
