Vancouver – On August 30, the Vancouver Area Network of Drug Users (VANDU) filed a Supreme Court action against the Attorney General and the Minister of Health seeking a court ordered exemption to enable Insite, North America’s first safe injection site, to continue to operate in the absence of a permit from the federal government.
