On May 3rd and 4th, the Mexican government decided to give an exemplary punishment to the inhabitants of San Salvador, Atenco in the State of Mexico, ordering a brutal repression where 3.000 members of the Preventive Federal Police and the Government of the State of Mexico participated, with an approximated balance of 279 people detained amongst them, farmers of Atenco, flower street merchants, workers from a telephone company and from governmental medical services, students of different universities, professionals and more than 60 women; a number not yet determined of people are disappeared, a 14 year old young person assassinated with a 38 caliber firearm; a young person in state of comma and around 50 people severely wounded, as well as innumerable material and psychological damages to the population. According to witnesses, the armed police shot to kill.
