"Remember when you were a kid traveling with your parents, and you had to pee, and you had to hold it in until the next stop? Remember the pain you would endure and how it got to a point where you could think of nothing else as you waited to pee? Well, homeless folks potentially go through that experience several times a day. One of the worst parts of being homeless is the illegality of bodily functions in society. Not only are public bathrooms nearly nonexistent, but urinating (peeing) and defecating (shitting) in public is also illegal, for obvious health reasons. This issue of bathroom access for the homeless is a huge one."
