Regular readers of Resist! will know of Macdonald Stainsby's passion for the north. The people, and the land that have been under attack since the arrival of European colonizers. As a regular contributor to this news wire, he has been dedicated to bringing awareness to "Canada's" Indigenous peoples' struggles on issues of sovereignty, resource extraction and environmental devastation. He has brought to light stories that are shaping our history but are simply not given the weight they deserve in other media. Macdonald will combine his love for the north with his love for hitchhiking this summer as he heads out across the Canadian State in an effort to further explore and expose the stories hidden from most people.
