In an article in the NY Times, it is revealed that "Doctors in New York City have begun to use a simple questionnaire to determine if a patient is at risk for depression, a practice that health officials hope will become a routine part of primary care, much like a blood pressure test or cholesterol reading..." ------------------------- Unfortunately, they miss the basic point - that being - a simple questionnaire is not ANYthing similar to a biological test such as blood pressure test or cholesterol reading. The organic answers obtained by biological tests are in no way similar to answers obtained from a questionnaire. As people in the anti-psychiatry groups consistently make clear. There is no objective science proving that psychosocial/psychospiritual societal issues (systemically referred to as "mental illness") are biological diseases.
