Prairie Grizzly Bears and Atlantic Grey Whales are officially extinct, according to the federal government's Species At Risk registry.   Last month's announcement of endangered species added to the Species at Risk listings focused on the political decision not ot list two salmon runs in BC, but mainstream media failed to report on the many populations of animals and plants that appear doomed to vanish forever.
