Global warming is hitting the Arctic two to three times as fast as the rest of 
the globe, according to a dramatic Arctic Climate Impact Assessment study. The 
warming trend is destabilizing buildings on permafrost, threatening an oil 
pipeline across Alaska, and could make Hudson Bay uninhabitable for polar bears 
within just 20 years, say published reports about the study.
