[news] Britannia Trial Ends, Pigs Win Again

In the fall of 2002, after a cancelled appearance by Premier Gordon Campbell at 
the Britannia Community Centre, Vancouver cops attacked peaceful demonstrators, 
first by arresting and assaulting an elderly Minister dressed as clown and 
then, when the crowd protested, assaulting and arresting 8 others, including a 
13 year old boy.  Those arrested were taken to a nearby parking lot where 
some were threatened, and then finally taken to the City jail and charged with 
various offences. On Thursday, some of these folks received their verdicts.
