SOURCE: CBC North IQALUIT - Nunavut organizations hope International Polar Year
will draw more attention to changes happening in the Arctic. Inuit groups hope
that issues such as melting sea ice and climate change get discussed The event,
which brings together Polar researchers from around the world, is held only
once every 50 years. "There's different birds coming to the land. People that
are hunting and fishing, they're falling through the ice and it's going to
catch up to the south,"
