[news] Government proclaims back-to-work law: Hospital Workers Vow to Fight Back

VICTORIA - After an all-night debate, the province's back-to-work legislation 
for 43,000 hospital workers has been proclaimed into law by Lieutenant Governor 
Iona Campagnolo. The Liberal government passed the law early Thursday morning – 
imposing a two-year contract on the unionized employees, and ordering them back 
to work immediately. Many HEU members remain defiant, and say they're willing 
to disobey the back-to- work order.
