PIVOT LAWYER SUES VANCOUVER POLICE DEPARTMENT

VANCOUVER - Pivot Legal Society executive director, John Richardson, has filed a civil lawsuit against the Vancouver Police Department in BC Supreme Court.  The lawsuit alleges illegal arrest and false imprisonment for Richardson?s arrest during the police raid on the Woodwards encampment in September of 2002.  It also alleges abuse of authority, abuse of process, malice and defamation, for a series of spurious Law Society complaints laid against Richardson by Police Chief Jamie Graham and another VPD officer.

Richardson is referring all inquiries regarding the lawsuit to his lawyer, Howard Rubin.
