Callout for a Revolutionary Anti-Capitalist Contingent for the
Saturday, February 15 Demonstration Against the War on Iraq 

Meet at the Waterfront Sky Train Exit (Canada Place Exit), 12:30 pm. 

Organizational Meeting:

The November 17 Coalition has called for another demonstration against the imminent U.S. led war on Iraq, and once again thousands are expected to march through the streets of Vancouver in a display of dissent.

Anarchists and anti-capitalists are calling for a cohesive contingent to participate in the upcoming anti-war march. All those who identify as anti-capitalist or anti-authoritarian are encouraged to participate. Our purpose is to make our presence known, distribute anarchist perspectives on so-called war and peace, and show our rage in the streets. 

Currently we see the need to unify our efforts, gather our forces, and take a visible anti-capitalist stand against the war. Through this we hope to encourage others to move beyond symbolic protest, and to begin to use direct action in this struggle.

We do not merely want and end to this war, but an end to state power that causes war on a daily basis: poverty, systemic racism, housing and job insecurity, police repression, and increasing harsh realities locally and around the world. 

Bring creative & radical banners, flags, signs and noise makers. Let’s make sure this is more than just another march.
