Comrades,
We are preparing a kick-ass party in the hope that we can raise money for
some of us facing politically motivated charges by the Canadian state. 
For us radicals who oppose this vision of 'Canada' we face criminal
charges that bog us down into the legal process, once caught in that trap
energy you once spent fighting for social justice ends up being spent on
staying out of jail.  The more charges they lay on us the greater our bail
conditions become and the more annoying the probation gets.  So please, if
you have nothing to do come down and support us, check out the live music!
 Here now for you is the official program of what those of you who come
can expect, of who the performers are and what the cause is about.

THE ACCUSED:
1.THE WALDORF SEVEN.  A large group of radicals who were attacked by the
Vancouver Police on a late Saturday night in the Downtown Eastside.  This
wasn't a blind attack for the cops well knew who these people were, one of
them was an internationally renowned Harm Reduction advocate.  On February
the 17th they will go in for their pre-trail, it's a joke that there is a
trial.  But whenever the cops beat someone down they automatically charge
them with assault police.

2.THE WESTMOUND TRIAL.  Local anarchist and rowdy working class
country-folk singer Joey Only is due for trial on March 7-11 in Montreal
Quebec.  He will be travelling out there for a month to sit in on his
trial but also to play a number of shows in various cities.  Joey was
charged with mischief and unlawfull assembly while accused of being at a
demonstration where many luxurious cars were destroyed.  The demonstration
was called THEY ARE RICH BECAUSE WE ARE POOR AND ITS JEAN CHAREST'S FAULT,
people from the anarchist bookfair marched into what is perhaps the single
richest neighbourhood in Canada where scum like Jean Charest and ex-Prime
Minister Brian Mulrooney live.


!!THE PERFORMANCES!!
AROUND MIDNIGHT - RAE SPOON.  (www.raespoon.com) Rae's version of
modernized country and western folk is hard to categorize even though it
feels so familiar to hear.  Rae has been seen across Canada, heard on
radio CBC, seen at PRIDE in Toronto and Vancouver but also ROCK FOR
CHOICE.

AROUND 11PM - ANDY AND THE TRICKSTERS (www.ravenhymn.com)  Andy Mason is
an Upper Cayuga/Mohawk native originally from the Toronto area but now
resides in Vancouver.  His blend of countryish accoustic-folk has been
amplified by ten with the inclusion of his very rock'n rollin band. 
Andy's CD the LONG WALK 49 is often heard on Arrows Radio, a native radio
station in the U.S.

AROUND 10:30PM - the outlaw JOEY ONLY (www.freewebs.com/joeyonly)  I am
one of the defendents that this concert hopes to raise some money for.  I
am a radical who believes that art and creativity plays a major role in
the development of revolutionary situations.  I play very anarchistic
bluesy-grass folk music in the storytelling tradition of folks like Woody
Guthrie.  This is the day that the production quality run of my new CD
RADICAL FOLK OF THE GREAT NORTH arrives and will be available to buy.

AROUND 10PM - RUSS WALDRON (www.russwaldron.com) From Australia, landing
in Vancouver and convinced to come help out the cause.  Russ plays
instrumental accoustic folk and is amazingly talented and unique.  You
won't hear him play the same lick twice very often!

BEFORE 10PM - CORWIN FOX (www.coqirecords.com) From Victoria B.C. Corwin
has a folky yet appealingly modern sound.  He is one of the founders of
Coqi Records and was recently on tour through Australia with his buddy
Russ Waldron.

MID 9th HOUR - DEAD BY DAWN SOUND SYSTEM.  Local political and
expiramental entertainment.  The Sound System is really a co-operative of
acts all working together on one music project.  On this occasion one of
those many combinations will come give us a taste of what they do.

AROUND 9PM - MC E-HAWK.  Emily is a Vancouver local, a politically minded
and outspoken young rapper whose talent is constantly increasing and whose
name is becoming more recognized.  Come see this up and coming Vancouver
act.

OPENING ACTS STARTING AROUND 8PM
NAYDEN - gothic prophetic trans-gendered boundary pushing appocolyptic
lyricist.

ALTONA - Young banjo plucking anarchist from Manitoba dedicated to the
abolition of the state.

KAMEA - young up and coming folk act already known in some student circles.
