Dear subscribers,
Just released is Canadian author, Mel Hurtig's latest, _Rushing to
Armageddon_. Mr. Hurtig is author of five best sellers including _The
Canadian Encyclopedia_, and is the founder of The Council of Canadians,
the NGO in Canada doing much to fight the neo-liberal push to corporate
globalization. Readers of this new book will be shocked to learn how
both the American and Canadian governments are intentionally misleading
their citizens about the Pentagon's unprecedented plans to weaponize
space; about the huge new Russian and Chinese nuclear missile buildup
resulting from U.S. Star Wars plans; about the destruction of vitally
important, long-standing arms control agreements; and about the rapidly
increasing danger of a nuclear apocalypse.
Currently Mr. Hurtig is on a National Book Tour and was speaking in
Vancouver, B.C. last week as part of that tour. The Global Justice
Video Project in Vancouver was at the talk last week to video record it
and has now web published the video including short edits within of a
two day street demonstration in Vancouver where activists came out to
oppose Canada's complicity in the U.S. Star Wars Plan. You can view
this talk in six parts, each approximately ten minutes in length at the

Mel Hurtig feels the Paul Martin government is rapidly heading Canada
towards more integration with American policies. Hurtig advises those
who love Canada and value our freedom to chart our own future must do
much more if our country is to survive for future generations.
Best regards,
--
