The Struggle is not over!
On May 3rd 2004, hospital workers across the province overwhelmingly refused the "deal" that was made on their behalf to end the weeklong HEU strike and to intercept massive labour actions planned across BC.
 
As a result of this imposed agreement, workers in British Columbia face more privatization, more layoffs and a massive pay cut. According to the "deal", 600 more jobs will be contracted out in the next 2 years and members of the Hospital Employees Union face a 15% rollback on wages and benefits. This does not include the 1,000's of workers that have already recieved layoff notices prior to May 1st, 2004. 
 
Saturday May 8th, join HEU workers and community members for justice, healthcare and workers rights!
