[mobglob-discuss] David Icke Still Sucks

On Friday, April 24, Arthur Topham wrote to this list, implying that by
virtue of my publishing an unrelated article, I am no longer a critic, or
opponent of the likes of David Icke.

Au contraire. Topham wrote:

article by Garth Mullins. Could it be that the Trots have been infiltrated
by the Lizzies? I wonder what poor ol' Mac and Willie O think of all this?

At the time of my submission to Shared Vision, I was unaware that they
intended to publish an ad for David Icke’s California speaking engagement
in the same issue as my article on Culture Jamming.

Surprisingly, the media in this country are not in the habit of having me
vet their advertisers. The appearance of my article in that issue is in no
way an endorsement of Icke, or any other advertiser, but rather a
coincidence. In fact, I wrote to folks that had previously organized
against Icke in Vancouver, and proposed a joint letter to the editor of
Shared Vision, exposing Icke’s politics.

Tony Tracy has already illuminated this list about the post’s author,
Arthur Topham, and to that I have nothing more to add other than my thanks
to Mr. Tracy. As for David Icke, if we’re living in a lizard-ocracy, I was
certainly not informed.

I have also written for the bourgeois daily papers, whose advertisers have
included some nasty corporate bastards and governments, who are at least
as harmful as this marginalized, bigoted wing-nut with a reptile fetish.

In closing, I’d like to assure Mr. Topham that time has, as he ponders,
fostered no maturity in me whatsoever.
