The Think City Society, the Impacts of Olympics on Community Coalition (IOCC), and numerous other organizations, are hosting Think 2010 – An Olympics for ALL. This important event will bring together a diverse group of participants to discuss how we can ensure the 2010 Games provide benefits for the environment and all members of our society.
Think 2010’s speakers will be:
· Larry Campbell - Mayor of Vancouver
· Marion Lay - President of 2010 Legacies Now Society and board member for the Vancouver Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games (VOCOG)
· Stewart Acuff – American Federation of Labor-CIO director of organizing and past-president of the Atlanta Labor Council
· Denis Hayes - President of Bullitt Foundation and chair of the Earth Day board
These speakers will address different aspects of the 2010 Games, and present positive strategies to make this hallmark event an Olympics for all.
Come and hear a broad-spectrum of speakers, ask questions to the panel, and express your own vision of what makes for a successful 2010 Games. Think 2010 will also be the launch for the IOCC’s social audit development process which will monitor the implementation of the 2010 bid book over the next 6 years.
