My Canadian Friends
I think we all know how important this vote is----not only for Canada--but for all of the world.
Our ability to be a sovereign nation and peacekeepers of this world are on line with this vote.
These are not ordinary days. What we let go now---we let go forever. The exponential nature of technological advancement will not allow us to have second thoughts. The decision we have to consider very seriously is whether we want to embark upon an endless journey of paranoia and fear ---that NEVER ENDS---
except in total catastrophy.
THERE IS NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT
OR---
Do we have the ability to withstand this pressure--to be the unique people in this world who are able to turn the tide of the ugly---inhuman aggressiveness that has taken over our planet.
YOU FIGURE IT OUT---and get out there and vote!!!
PEACE

Today is Federal Election Day!
The polls will be opening this morning.
Remember to get out and VOTE.
If you are not registered to vote, you can still register on election day at your polling station as long as you:
1) Are a Canadian Citizen
2) Are 18 years of age or older
You need to bring valid identification showing your name, address, and signature. If one piece of ID does not show all of these features, you may need to bring two pieces. In addition, if none of your ID shows your current address, you may want to bring an official piece of mail such as a Bank Statement, or Hydro Bill with your current address.
However, if you still do not have sufficient ID, you can register at the polling station by taking an oath, as long as you are accompanied by another registered voter living in the same polling division as you who can vouch that you are who you say you are. In this context, "polling division" means electoral district, not polling station. Therefore, anyone living in the same riding as you can vouch for you. However, each person can only vouch for one other person.
For the ID requirements, and procedures for vouching, the Elections Canada press release reads as follows:
"An elector who is still not on the list will be able to register on election day at the assigned polling station for his or her residence, just before voting, with valid identification showing the elector's name, address and signature. An elector who does not have identification may register under oath, when he or she is accompanied by another elector registered in the same polling division who can vouch for the elector."
To find out where your local polling station is, you can visit www.elections.ca, or call Elections Canada's Voter Information Service at 1 800 463-6868. You will need your postal code when you check the website of phone Elections Canada to determine your polling station.
Remember - GET OUT AND VOTE!!
