Women's Centre Coordinator
The Simon Fraser Student Society invites applications for the Women's Centre Coordinator. The Women's Centre is a pro-feminist, anti-racist, trans and intersex women inclusive department of the Simon Fraser Student Society. The Student Fraser Student Society is an equal opportunity employer that encourages individuals from marginalized communities to apply.

Description
This is a permanent part-time position at 28 hours per a week, paid at an hourly rate of $23.74 per hour plus benefits. The successful applicant will become a member of the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 2396.

Duties and Responsibilities
* advising and supporting the Women's Centre Collective
* liaising with the Student Society Board
* developing and publicizing programs and special events in conjunction with Collective members
* maintaining up-to-date knowledge of campus and community recourses for women
* providing emergency and crisis referrals
* supervision of a part-time librarian and volunteers
* budget preparation and administration
* administration of the Centre's resource offi ce, lounge, library, and all offi cial records.

Required Skills and Experience
1. Demonstrated commitment to feminism and experience working/volunteering in a feminist organization.
2. Skill and experience doing anti-oppression work, including anti-racist practice.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong organizational and administrative skills.
5. Ability to work in a self-supervisory environment.
6. Experience working within a collective structure, using consensus decision-making.
7. Experience supporting and providing resources to individuals in crisis.
8. Experience with issues faced by women in an academic institutional environment.
9. Experience recruiting and working with volunteers.
10. Basic computer skills.
