Speak Up for
WOMEN'S CHOICE
April 25, 2004
Join us for a strong and united voice in support of
Women's Rights to Reproductive Choice
and Self-determination
March begins at 11:30 am Sunday, April 25 at Burrard St. Skytrain Station
Rally starts 12:30 pm at the upper plaza west of Waterfront Skytrain Station (Granville and Cordova)
It's time for Canadians to speak up on choice! Increasing lack of access to abortion services, aging abortion providers and political barriers are threatening a woman's right to reproductive freedom and choice. The attack on women's choice in the U.S. and the potential ripple impact of the neo-conservative agenda on Canadians cannot be ignored. It's for these very reasons that the Planned Parenthood Federation of Canada, the Pro-Choice Action Network and many other pro-choice organizations from coast to coast have joined together to form the Pro-Choice Canada Coalition.
In Vancouver a coalition of community organizations including B.C. Women's Centre, Vancouver Women's Health Collective, Students for Choice at UBC, Options for Sexual Health and the Pro-Choice Action Network is set to stand up for choice on Canada's Day of Action for Choice on April 25, 2004, which will coincide with the historic March for Women's Lives in Washington, D.C. (www.marchforchoice.org).
On April 25th we need to raise our voices in solidarity to ensure women's reproductive rights - fundamental human rights - remain protected in Canada. With true reproductive choice, women have the ability to control their own economic, educational and family potential.
WITHOUT A VOICE, WOMEN HAVE NO CHOICE - HELP US SPREAD THE WORD!
