INTERNATIONAL RALLY MARKS THIRD WEEK OF HUNGER STRIKE
On Sunday the 9th of November at noon there will be a rally at the Peace
Arch to protest the FTAA. The rally will correspond with IFCO/Pastors for
Peace Caravan crossing the border on their way to Miami for the FTAA
Ministerial meeting, and on to Central America to deliver donated goods.
Activists from Bellingham are organizing the rally.
Sunday will also mark the beginning of the third week of the Hunger Strike
Against the FTAA. Vancouver activists have maintained a camp at the Peace
Arch for the past 12 days as part of the hunger strike and FTAA
awareness-raising campaign.
HOW CAN YOU HELP WITH THE PROTEST?
- Please help us flood the email boxes of Pettigrew's staff asking them to
set up a meeting between Pettigrew and the hunger strikers so that citizens
can have more input into this environment and human- rights threatening
trade agreement.
Please c.c all the following people on your e-mail:
pierre.pettigrew at dfait-maeci.gc.ca , andre.lemay at dfait-maeci.gc.ca ,

you know to cover the story!
