Dear Friends,

Among the items in our SILENT AUCTION at our

Vancouver-Kingsway NDP Party & Panel Discussion

          ON SATURDAY MAY 10TH @ 6 PM
                        IWA HALL - 2859 Commercial at 13th
                                         (three blocks south of the Broadway
Skytrain Station)

will be art pieces by
internationally acclaimed Vancouver-based artists
NORA PATRICH and JUAN MANUEL SANCHEZ.

              Silk screen entitled "Workers" and
              "Tucuman 1967" Offset

                           by Juan Manuel Sanchez

                  Silk screen "Heritage"

                                 by Nora Patrich.

Patrich's and Sanchez' art reflects the culture of their native land,
Argentina, and pays homage to the people of the Americas.  Sanchez gained
prominence as a member of the socially conscious Spartacus artists' movement
in Argentina.  Patrich fled Argentina with her two young children after her
husband and six other members of her family were murdered by the military
regime during the "Dirty War" in which an estimated 30,000 citizens were
"disappeared".

There will also be a

ceramic piece

               by Vancouver-based painter and stainglass and ceramic artist

        JOSE VENTURA

originally from Guatemala.
