Opposition to Bush War on Iraq Growing

Wednesday evening, March 26th marks the 1 week anniversary of the start of
the criminal U.S. led War on the people of Iraq.  As the death toll rises
daily the Peace Anti-War Movement continues to grow and to act to Stop the
War Against the Iraqi people.  Across the country and around the world
resistance to the Bush War grows.

Despite an orchestrated campaign to quell opposition and stir patriotism
increasing numbers of Americans are beginning to question the honesty and
integrity of the Bush War against Iraq.  This reality was bought into sharp
focus by Oscar winning documentary film maker Michael Moore of “Bowling for
Columbine” fame Monday evening, who, backed by every other nominated
documentary film maker, used his acceptance speech to slam George W. Bush
saying “We like non-fiction. We live in fictitious times.  We live in a time
where we have fictitious elections, which elects a fictitious president.  We
live in a time where we have a man sending us to war for fictitious reasons.
We are against the war, Mr. Bush.  Shame on you, Mr. Bush, shame on you.”
While there were boos and jeers directed against Moore’s pointed comments
there was also a very substantial body of support among the assembled gowned
and bejeweled Academy Award glitteratti which was watched by hundreds of
millions of people worldwide.
