The following was submitted to the Sun and Province today.  Lets see if it
actually gets printed or if the media muzzle pulls tighter.

Dear Editor,

We are writing to express our frustration with the Sun and Province 
for their lack of diligent reporting with regard to various press 
releases put out by the No Games 2010 Coalition over the last few weeks. 

In these releases, we documented that various Bid Corp members are in
major
conflicts of interest by being heavily involved in privatization deals and
mega-projects allied to the present government and the Bid.  We have also
documented that members of the previous NDP government had similar
conflicts related to the Bid. Most recently, we exposed a Bombardier/RAV
line deal which was made behind closed doors years ago and signed by
Joy MacPhail and Glen Clark.  In regard to the IOC, we documented 
egregious conflicts of interest of Gerhard Heiberg with local business 
ventures.

Various grassroots and non-mainstream media have covered these items
but the Vancouver Sun and Province have not.  It appears that Izzy 
Asper's media outlets, the Bid Corporation, the City of Vancouver and the
provincial government do not want the public to have such incriminating
information.

These issues merit fair coverage in the interest of providing all 
points of view to the citizens of BC.  While your editorial writers are
known to extol the virtues of your papers in the service of the public's
right to know, the recent events lead us to question whether your deeds
match your rhetoric.

If the former, perhaps it is time for the Sun and Province to demonstrate
that they really believe in a free press and an informed public by
allowing viewpoints that don't match those of your owners.
