Whether it makes a difference or not, a brief note in support of peace
certainly can't hurt if you have the wherewithal to write the UNSC.
Following is the call and the e-links included. Tom

Subject: [womi] EMAIL Security Council again:
      URGENT- please circulate quickly

Hello all. Pauline Cantwell calls urgently for more letters:-

HERE IS AN EASY LINK TO EMAIL ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL AT
ONCE
http://communityforpeace.net/un_contacts.htm

I will write them in French/Spanish/German, but don't worry, a short letter
in English is more important than waiting! However, anyone else who has
already written a letter in French/Spanish/German can also send it to me and
I'll forward it for those who are interested. M

Here is the message from Pauline Cantwell of Peace Action.
KCantw9473 writes:

"I was at the UN yesterday to hear Non-Aligned countries' statements to SC -
almost all favored giving inspectors more time and supporting RES 1441 - Of
course, SC holds the key as they are being asked to pass a new resolution.

France has announced two days ago that they have received more than 5000
emails from Americans who support their position re: the Iraq situation.
Pls contact them and others on the Security Council by email or fax and tell
them to support implementation of Resolution 1441 and to resist pressure by
EU and US to pass any new resolution which will be used as a trigger for
war. (note: Bulgaria and Spain support EU and US position calling for
implementation of serious consequences ie., war). Now is the time to let
those in the SC know that we, the citizens of the world support the very
fundamental principals of the UN - to end the scourge of war.

"PLS EMAIL OR FAX THE PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF IRAQ TO THE UNITED NATIONS
AT (212) 772-1794 - E-MAIL - MISSIONOFIRAQ at NYC.RR.COM TO EXPRESS CONCERN
THAT IRAQ MUST COOPERATE FULLY WITH THE INSPECTORS IN ORDER TO AVOID WAR.
PEOPLE WANTING A PEACEFUL RESOLUTION TO THIS CRISIS ARE DEPENDING ON SADDAM
HUSSEIN TO DO THE RIGHT THING IN ORDER TO AVOID FURTHER HARM TO HIS PEOPLE.
