FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AN OPEN LETTER RE CONFLICTS OF INTEREST ON BID CORP BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Vancouver-Whistler Olympic Bid Corp has not, to date, released to the 
public any binding conflict of interest declarations for all Bid Corp 
Directors and staff.

We note that the Toronto Bid Corp provided public access to Conflict of 
Interest declarations during Toronto's bid for the 2008 Olympic Games.

In the interests of assuring the public that members of the 
Vancouver-Whistler Bid Corp will not profit in any way from the 2010 
Winter Games using public funds, the NO GAMES 2010 Coalition demands that
Bid Corp Directors and staff provide a binding public declaration that
neither they, their families, nor their partners in other commercial
ventures will profit in any way from the 2010 Winter Games.

The NO GAMES 2010 Coalition, acting on behalf of the people of British 
Columbia, demands that these documents be released to the public 
immediately.

Failure to do so will raise concerns that Bid Corp directors are in 
potential conflict of interest situations in relation to the Winter Games.

We call the pubic's attention to the following composition of the Board of

Directors:

-3 members of Bid Corp (Jack Poole, Tony Tennessy, and Ken Georgetti) and 
the head of Team 2010 (David Podmore) are board members of Concert 
Properties. Three of these members were founders of the company. These 
are: Jack Poole (Chair of Concert Properties, formerly Greystone,
previously Vancouver Land Corporation); David Podmore (President and CEO),
and Ken Georgetti.

-Concert Properties was initially established to provide low income 
housing and is now a major residential developer at a BC ski resort
(Silver Star Mountain).

-Concert Properties is listed at SkyScrapers.com as owner of 13 high-rise 
building, including office towers such as Centro and 1190 Hornby.

-Concert is actively engaged in the hospitality sector development as a 
partner with the Victoria Marriott Hotel.

-Jack Poole is a Partner in Western Corporate Enterprise, an investment 
company with an active interest in businesses throughout North America.

-Jack Poole retains part ownership of Richmond Honda and Sur-Del Honda 
with partners Hennings Brasso and Bob Lee of Prospero, the latter with 
significant land holdings in the Whistler area.

-Poole has also remained active in real estate development with a number 
of projects in Calgary, Denver, and other cities throughout North America.

In order to ensure that no conflict of interest situations are present, NO

GAMES 2010 Coalition demands that all Bid Corp directors provide a 
conflict of interest declaration and a full accounting of all financial
interests in companies that might benefit from a successful
Vancouver-Whistler Bid.
