Munson's article was atrocious. I found this comment on the DC Indymedia
website, in response to the thumping (flase) triumphalism of the "Chuck0". I
tend to agree with it, and further think that this kind of lying about our
current state will only further the amount of time we are stuck in reverse,
trying to recover lost momentum.
We must face exactly what happened. We got less than 3000 people out, and 600 of
them are rotting on remand.
The question isn't posed to make people "feel bad". It is so we can start to
answer this question: "What do we DO about it?"
In the meantime, there will be an action on Halloween, coinciding with FTAA
meetings in Quito, Ecuador. Be under no illusions, be even less prepared for
surrender.
Response to Chuck0 from Indymedia DC:
Not at all like Argentina

I am in total solidarity with American global justice protesters... BUT to
compare today's adventurous acts by several hundred to a near revolutionary
situation in Argentina where unemployed workers and millions of others brought
down four successive governments in two weeks is ridiculous. It shows arrogant
dismissiveness to the planning and organisation of major forces in Argentina and
overemphasizes the political impact of several hundred angry students rebelling
against an unjust system. We do not advance our common struggle by deluding
ourselves about the power and impact of this morning's protest.
