Wow, what a great line up for an activist who is looking for something to do!
Check it out...
At four oçlock we will be hosting David Morgan, a memeber of Veterans Against
Nuclear Arms, as he gives a talk on two areas: One, the fallout historically
from the use of Atomic Weapons in Japan. The other, and it is really far more
related than one thinks! Th continuing saga of Iraq, both at the hands of the
sanctions and the threat of a new war!
Then we'll watch a movie by award winning journalist John Pilger on Iraq!
After that, people need a break. So there will be a poetic and musical
interlude, LIVE!
We'll settle back down after all of that (hey, the wine and beer will be cheap,
too....did I forget?) and learn a bit about the functions of the IMF and the
World Bank....just before the September annual meeting in Washington DC!
Then, our good buddy Chris Jacob (College Relations Coordinator, DSU) will get
all you saucy people talking about any or all of it!
Could make for a really interesting Friday night, eh?
Or....you could just catch another Hollywood film....
