[mobglob-discuss] Shoreline Cleanup - Sunday

I'd like to invite you all to help out in the Shoreline Cleanup on Sunday.

The project happens each year and involves hundreds of thousands of people
and shoreline/lake/river locations around the globe.  Garbage is picked up
and bagged, and classified on a checklist. The checklist is sent to the
organizers and they tally up the various categories (food wrappers,
cigarette garbage, fishing line, cans, lids, diapers, etc) and put out an
annual report on which items and countries are the biggest waterside
polluters.  The actual garbage is disposed of responsibly (or recycled) by
each team.

Our Merry Prankster Team will be doing Tower Beach this year (between
Spanish Banks and Wreck Beach) on Sunday mid-morning until mid-afternoon
(or however long it takes).  Bags, gloves etc will be supplied.

We can certainly put you in touch with the Shoreline Cleanup organizers
for next year too.

There is a really big (hundreds of people!) drum-fest happening at Spanish
Banks late afternoon into the evening, as well.
