Hi Jill,

Today's WestEnder has a letter from Am Johal (IOCC I believe) about an
Olympic referendum on the city ballot not allowing enough time for public
awareness and that the province should hold a referendum so the ppl can
decide how to spend our tax dollars over the next 10 years. Your idea has
spread !! I've seen Am's letters duplicated in the Sun recently so
hopefully we'll see it there too, and it will stir the pot a bit more.

On a similar note, the Whistler conference center is being renovated and
so far funding has come from allocated revenues and a Whistler tourism,
BUT they sound like they're poised to ask the province for some funding,
the figure is pretty big, in the millions anyway. I forget now where I
read that, maybe in yesterday's rags.  I'll try to find the article and
save it for Monday's meeting.

Can you check the button image I sent you today, I'd like to get the ball
rolling on this so we can make buttons on Monday nite. I'll need to
confirm things with Conrad tomorrow as I'll be busy-busy all weekend. Do
you want to come to Tower Beach with Crimson and I on Sunday? We picked
that beach  for the annual Shoreline Cleanup and we're planning to work
from mid-morning till 2or3pm. There's also a huge drum session at Spanish
Banks that afternoon, followed by an Equinox ritual at the Faerie Mound
which is close by. Call me tonite for details if you're interested, I'll
be home after the Squat Rally, so probably 7ish.

PS: A woman in my work bldg had a baby recently and as soon as I see her
I'll ask what she's doing with her maternity clothes. She's about your
size and has pretty cool taste.
