Former Ontario Premier Mike Harris to join Fraser Institute as Senior
Fellow

Michael Harris, former Premier of Ontario, will be joining The Fraser
Institute as Senior Fellow. The announcement was made today by Mr.
Raymond
J. Addington, OBE, Chairman of the Institute, on the occasion of the Fall
meeting of the Institute’s Board of Trustees in Toronto.

In accepting his appointment, Mr. Harris noted, “I have always been an
admirer and user of the work of the Fraser Institute and am very pleased
to
be able to join the Institute to contribute to their development of new
policy ideas. I am in particular looking forward to working with the
impressive team of creative thinkers at the Fraser Institute, including
Senior Fellow Preston Manning in developing a new, non-partisan, ‘Common
Sense Policy Vision’ for Canada. We have much to learn from each other
as to
how Canada’s regions might be better served by policies that strengthen
our
economy and quality of life from coast to coast.”
