WHERE:
Wednesday May 15th 7:30 pm
400-475 Howe St. (at W. Pender). The buzzer # is 16.

WHY:
With only 5 weeks left before the buses leave, we need as many people as
possible involved in organizing forums, movie nights, etc. One of those
people could be you! We also need to build solidarity with local
struggles and events to get others involved in opposing the G8. For
example:

May 18 is the Paul Robeson memorial concert, a wonderful chance to get
people excited about all the entertainment in Solidarity Village in
Kananaskis, where Alberta activists are organizing workshops, forums,
music...
May 25 will be the large anti-Campbell march downtown, and it would be
great to have dozens of people circulating in the crowd with information
about G8, signing people up for the buses, collecting donations, and
getting others involved. 

Last year's G8 protest in Italy infused so much energy into local
struggles that they had a 3 million person demonstration against their
corrupt president, and an 11 million person general strike. To fight
back against Campbell and his international allies we need as many
British Columbians as possible to go to Kananaskis. 

To sign up for the buses, please email vancouverg8buses at lycos.com with
your name, contact info, and about you can afford. Without fundraising,
tickets will be $90 dollars for a return trip (June 22-28). To ensure
that we can all make it regardless of financial situation, please help
in fundraise in whatever way you can. We have sponsor sheets people can
take to their friends, family, neighbours to raise money, and we
encourage people to ask their local union or community group to send
people to Alberta and donate money for buses.
