To people outside the Lower Mainland: I believe you get the same
programming we get on CBC, but the location on the dial is different.

Gordon Campbell is making an appearance tomorrow (Thurs July 25) on a
CBC radio phone-in talk show -perhaps some of us would care to share
our thoughts with this nasty little man.

The show tomorrow is called BC Almanac (it's at 690AM), and they
typically host calls from the general public from 1.00PM until 2.00PM.
The phone lines will no doubt be very busy, so I suggest that any other
interested activists call the following number from about 12.45PM to
ensure that you get a chance to quiz our wonderful premier on air. The
shows host, Mark Forsyth, does not appear to be the most astute or
insightful political commentator, so expect him to let Gordo get away
with a spew of verbal diarrhea that passes for argument. Expect to be
quizzed by one of the CBC staffers on your thoughts about the BC Libs
before you hit the air - no doubt some daring insurgents will ambush the
premier by telling the CBC staff that they support Gordo, but then
letting him have it on air.
One thing to look for - see how many times you catch Gordo utter
the meaningless phrase 'Move Forward' (or 'moving forward', 'go forward',
etc.) which appears to be his favourite way of question avoidance whilst
appearing 'dynamic'! I'm looking forward to see what other phrases
Gordo's PR men have dreamt up for him . . .

BC Almanac - CBC Radio One 690AM
Phone (604) 669-3733 (Collect calls accepted but via a 'live'operator
only, not the Telus automated system)
Free cellphone line *690
If you can't get through during the show tomorrow, make sure you share
your thoughts with CBC's radio audience by leaving a message on their
'Talkback Line' for later broadcast on (604) 662-6104

Regards

Richard Neal
